support.How you make a difference:The Certified Medication
Technician is responsible for all aspects of medication
administration within the scope of his/her certification and under
the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse.Key
Responsibilities: Administering prescribed medications and
documenting them on the Medication Administration Record (MAR)
while following safety principles, infection control techniques,
and the six rights of medication administration. Adhering to
Facility policies, Pharmacy Board regulations, and proper infection
control techniques during medication administration, including the
use of universal precautions. Participating in performance
improvement activities related to medication administration, such
as data collection and medication audits. Reporting adverse patient
medication reactions to a supervisor immediately and
reordering/replacing medications and supplies as needed.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and rights, as well as adhering
to HIPAA regulations and ensuring confidentiality of health system
and department documents.Qualifications &
Requirements:EducationHigh School graduate or
equivalent.Experience1 year of related experience in a medical
environment preferred.Licenses/CertificationsMust be certified as a
Medication Technician in the state within which services are
provided and have current CPR Certification.Additional Details : To
qualify for this position: Certified Nurse Assistant or Medical
Assistant and have completed the 32 hour Medication Aide course OR
be a Medication Aide and have completed the 68 hour Medication Aide
course -AND- Must possess all required licenses and/or
