Job Description Job Description Financial Accountant Location: Remote (Must reside in North Carolina) Position Summary Banyan Search is working with a best in class company that is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join our remote team. This position is responsible for general accounting functions including investment accounting, financial reporting, month-end close activities, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment. Key Responsibilities Manage accounting processes including investment accounting, reconciliation, and reporting Prepare and review monthly financial statements and regulatory reports Complete month-end close activities including journal entries and account reconciliations Monitor and reconcile investment portfolios and related general ledger accounts Prepare financial reports for management and board presentations Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 2 years of accounting experience required Public accounting experience preferred MBA, CPA, or CMA certification preferred Must reside in North Carolina Required Skills Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, financial modeling) Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Additional Information This is a full-time position offering the flexibility of remote work.
