Job Description The Project Executive role reports to the Vice President of Operations and has the ultimate responsibility and ownership for multiple projects and/or sectors throughout the entire project lifecycle. This is an in-office position in Lynchburg, VA with frequent travel to project sites. The Project Executive responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - This role has complete responsibility for multiple projects and project teams over the course or the entire project life cycle. - Responsible for total construction effort for multiple projects, ensuring construction meets design, budget, and schedule requirements. - The Project Executive contributes to the strategies to identify and develop new clients and maintain existing client relationships. - This individual will be responsible for leading, training, and developing staff and developing growth strategies for team members. - This role will be focused on continual management of projects to ensure issues and challenges are addressed in a timely manner and in keeping with Jamerson-Lewis Constructions Vision, Mission, and Core Values. Requirements: Skills & Competencies - Strength in people management, troubleshooting, and use of business systems. - Must be able to work in a demanding growth environment and ensure commitment to quality and performance on all projects. - Experience managing budgets, procurement and working across business areas in managing and constructing projects. - Exercise independent judgment and discretion with ability to identify problems and make recommendations for resolution. - Must be self-starter, adaptable and flexible to operate with minimal direction and little, or no, supervision while working in a complex and changing environment. - High degree of organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Experience, Education, & Certifications - Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience. - 10 years of field construction management experience, to include managing projects exceeding $30M. - Pre-construction, field supervision, and project management experience. - Must possess working knowledge of or a willingness to learn how to use the following software applications: Outlook, Word, Excel, Bluebeam, ProjectSight, and Viewpoint. Must have the ability to crawl, climb, walk, reach with hands and arms, bend, kneel, crouch, stand for longs periods of time, lift and hold in excess of 50lbs, talk, hear and occasionally sit. Must have the ability to withstand confined spaces and or/extreme heights while negotiating tasks at hand in a safe manner to themselves and/or others.
