A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available in a K-12 school setting in Christiansburg, VA, serving grades Kindergarten through 12th. This opportunity offers six openings with a 37.5-hour workweek for the upcoming school year, catering to a diverse caseload of students requiring speech and language support. Qualified candidates should possess skills and certifications including eligibility for or holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology, the completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and experience working within school environments. Expertise in assessing and delivering speech and language interventions to children across various grade levels is essential. Key Qualifications: Certified or eligible Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP credential Completion or near completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Experience working with K-12 caseloads in school settings Strong understanding of speech and language assessments and intervention strategies for children Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Responsibilities: Conduct speech and language assessments to identify student needs Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for K-12 students Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to promote communication success Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and regulatory standards This role provides the chance to engage with a dynamic student population, making a meaningful impact on their communication skills throughout a full academic year.
