Department at the Virginia Military Institute invites applications
for a non-tenure track, adjunct position. This is a part-time
position with an expectation of teaching primarily Core Curriculum
introductory biology courses in-person. Our longer-term adjunct
instructors may teach an upper-level course in their specialty.
Class sizes are usually 16-24 cadets. Teaching load is up to two
courses with laboratories per semester, with the possibility of
additional classes in the summer. The current salary rate for one
laboratory course is $9,832. The successful candidate will serve
under a renewable contract. Full-time faculty at VMI wear uniforms
and adhere to military customs, but adjunct instructors are not
required. Military experience is not required. This position would
begin in August of 2025. Minimum Qualifications Minimum
requirements are a master’s degree or at least 18 graduate hours in
the biological sciences or related field If you would like to be
