an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to support our US Places
Design & Engineering business area in the Raleigh, North Carolina
area. You will work directly with other Fire Protection Engineers,
Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineers, Architects, and clients on
a range of facility design projects, including Federal projects You
will lead the fire protection discipline of multiple and concurrent
projects through the pursuit, proposal, design, and construction
phases. Travel to project sites is required (approx. 1 week a month
will be spent travelling) Role accountabilities: Lead design teams
and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design
packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary
coordination. Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and
staffing plans, as well as identify, qualify, and pursue potential
clients and project opportunities Fluency in design and modeling
software that includes Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud,
AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, etc. Skilled in designing fire
protection systems in heavy industrial, commercial, manufacturing,
and processing facilities, e.g. water and wastewater treatment
sites, EV assembly plants, lithium-ion battery plants, and data
centres Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys,
data collection for fire protection studies, and collaboration with
client team members Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor of
Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering with
proven experience in a similar role Fire Protection Professional
Engineering Licensure in the United States is essential Extensive
experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency
facilities Deep knowledge of life safety codes Knowledge of
industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as
NFPA, NEC, NESC, UL, etc. An advanced technical understanding of
fire alarm and suppression systems, smoke control, and other
related equipment and technologies Strong communication skills
related to presentations, project communications, and written

- $132,761. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several
factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity,
