Job Description:
Position Description: Works as a member of the maintenance support team supporting
workplace investment applications. Develops and supports Java and Web
applications using Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Develops enhancements
and upgrades to existing Web-based applications using Java, Angular
JS, Node JS, Spring MVC, and SOAP and RESTful Web services. Develops Web
based software components used by Fidelity’s workplace
customers. Collaborates with the project manager, systems analysts,
architects, and other developers to support the features that make up
Fidelity’s internet experience including corporate wide infrastructure
changes. Primary Responsibilities: • Serves as on-call resource to support the organization's
service and escalation model. • Supports the monthly installing process. • Triages production and non-production incident tickets. • Develops technical solutions for on-going development
support efforts. • Supports and performs all phases of testing leading to implementation. • Assists in the planning and conducting of user
acceptance testing. • Develops comprehensive documentation for multiple
applications supporting several corporate initiatives. • Responsible for post-installation testing of any
problems. • Establishes project plans for projects of moderate
scope. • Performs independent and complex technical and
functional analysis for multiple projects supporting several
initiatives. • Provides guidance and mentoring to other developers. • Represents technology solutions to business partners. • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign education equivalent) in
Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems,
Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and three (3) years of
experience in the job offered or three (3) years of experience designing
and developing Java/J2EE applications using Service Oriented
Architecture (SOA) within the financial services industry. Or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign education
equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology,
Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field and
one (1) year of experience in the job offered or one (1) year of
experience designing and developing Java/J2EE applications using Service
Oriented Architecture (SOA) within the financial services industry. Skills and Knowledge: Candidate must also possess: • Demonstrated Expertise (“DEâ€) developing enterprise
financial services applications in distributed environments using J2EE,
Spring, PL SQL, and ORM frameworks (Hibernate); and developing Web
services (producers and consumers) using SOAP/REST, Swagger API,
WebSphere, and Tomcat servers. • DE configuring continuous build and integration flows using
Git, Jenkins, Maven, UDeploy, and Nexus in a UNIX environment (Solaris/Linux); scripting automated application deployment
flows and supporting and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems in
public cloud (AWS) or private cloud solutions using Docker Container
management technology. • DE designing and developing responsive Web MVC
applications using: JavaScript MVC frameworks (Angular.js), client-side
technologies (HTML5, CSS, SASS, Bootstrap, and jQuery), Content management
(CM) system (SDL Tridion), server-side technologies (Node.js), Web
security technologies (OAuth and SAML), and IDEs (WebStorm, Eclipse)
within the financial services industry. • DE performing automation and monitoring of web based
customer facing applications using DevOps including continuous
integration and continuous delivery using Jenkins, UDeploy, and Nexus; version
control using Git; issue tracking using Jira, Service Now, and Quality
