Internal Medicine Core Faculty Opening in VA Located in Danville, VA - Greensboro, NC 47m; Raleigh 74m Seeking a physician for a creative core faculty position combining fast-paced hospital work with outpatient clinical work along with teaching and administrative responsibilities Typical monthly schedule includes one week inpatient hospital coverage, one week off and two weeks outpatient clinic to include both precepting residents and individual continuity clinicThe clinic serves a diverse patient population with over 10,000 visits annually and growing. The program fosters a collegial, supportive environment which is conducive to learning and professional growth.250-bed community hospital with the regions only designated Chest Pain Center and Certified Advanced Primary Stroke Center. Also offering accredited by American College of Cardiology (ACC) Accreditation Services for Chest Pain Center and Heart Failure, accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer, and is a member of the Duke Heart Network and Duke Telestroke Network. The facility has served the community and region for more than 120 years. Since 2010 both medical students and physician residents have trained onsite through programs accredited by the AOA and ACGME.Sitting majestically on the banks of the Dan River in the heart of southern Virginia, Danville exceeds expectations with a wide variety of activities ranging from outdoor festivals and events.
