Registered Nurse - PACUPRN Tier II (Minimum 1 shift/week, 2 weekend shifts/month based on staffing needs, 2 holidays/year (one major))***Must have 18 months RN hospital experience to participate in PRN***--Position Summary:--

• Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process--in accordance with--applicable scope and standards--of practice.--
• Provides--postoperative nursing care.--
• Safely and adequately provides and--utilizes--equipment and supplies based on unique patient need.--
• Uses electronic nursing documentation for charging patient supplies per department policy and procedure.--
• Evaluates patient outcomes.--
• Documents patient care given.--
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as--appropriate to--care team, physician, patient, and family.--
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge,--referral--and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.--
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and--provides--patient/family education--appropriate to--age, culture, condition, and circumstances.--

      • Registered Nurse from the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact State--required----
      • Bachelor's degree preferred--

      • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association--required--
      • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) American Heart Association--required--within 3 months of hire.----
