RN-Labor/Delivery at Clinch Valley Medical Center summary: As a
Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery, I provide comprehensive
nursing care for both mothers and newborns during the perinatal
period. My role involves assessing patient needs, developing care
plans, overseeing nursing staff, and responding to emergency
situations to ensure safe and effective care. I collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team while adhering to established standards of
care and maintaining a focus on patient safety and health outcomes.

Position Requirements: Current Virginia License at time of hire
date. Education/Experience: Must be currently registered in the
State of Virginia. Job requires no previous clinically related
nursing experience but six months Labor/Delivery desired. The
employee will complete an orientation program of sufficient
duration and content to prepare them for specific duties in the
hospital before they administer direct patient care but at least
within thirty (30) days of hire date. Special Qualifications: CPR
and NRP certification is required within 30 days of hire.
Successful completion of unit specific competencies annually. ACLS
preferred. AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring is required every
