About The Position JOB OVERVIEW Job Title: Emergency Medicine Physician and NP/PA Specialty/Dept.: Emergency Medicine MD/DO & NP/PA Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Salem,VA Service Setting: Inpatient Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Feb 17 Ongoing Clinical Shift Schedule: - Physicians: 7a-3p, 9a-5p, 3p-11p, 5p-1a, 11p-7a - NP/PA: 6a-2p, 11a-11p, 2p-10p, 10p-6a, 11a-11p PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Volume/Census: 45,000 annual volume FACILITY INFORMATION Support Staff Available: NPs/PAs ICU Status: Closed ICU Reason for Coverage: Supplemental COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Rate: TBD Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active VA Medical License or Eligibility Certifications: Physicians (MD/DO):Board Certified/Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) NP/PA: NCCA or ANCC Certification, ATLS & ACLS (required once in career) NP/PA must have recent experience in a Main ED setting; no new graduates or candidates with only Urgent Care experience.
