Pay Information $1,942 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 Years License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Must-Have: OB experience Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery. The unit has 9 labor and delivery rooms, 8 post-partum/GYN rooms, and 2 operating room suites. There are 23 beds in the well-baby nursery. The unit staff comprises over 50 members including directors, managers, couplet nurses, birthing response nurses, and scrub techs. Patient ratios on the unit are structured as 3 couplets per nurse. In labor and delivery, the ratio is 1 nurse for active labor, Pitocin, and epidural patients. The equipment used includes Corometrics EMR, Centricity Perinatal, and Meditech. Ideal candidates should possess strong OB experience and be energetic and self-directed. Preferred experience includes cesarean section circulation, first assisting, and scrubbing. Typical procedures performed include labor and delivery, cesarean sections, post-partum care, and newborn care. The unit also handles OBED triage, inductions, and midwife procedures. Weekend shifts include 4 shifts over a 4-week schedule, typically covering Saturday and Sunday nights.
