Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Med/Surg 5A (7A–7P) Danville Regional Medical Center – Danville, VA Job Description Provide direct patient care on a fast?paced medical?surgical unit, managing a diverse adult patient population Perform comprehensive assessments, develop care plans, and document all interventions accurately Administer medications and treatments in accordance with facility protocols and clinical standards Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, high?quality patient care Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond promptly to clinical needs Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions Maintain compliance with safety and infection?control standards across all patient interactions Support unit workflow by prioritizing tasks, managing multiple patients, and adapting to changing acuity levels Utilize EMR systems effectively for charting, orders, and communication Demonstrate strong time?management and critical?thinking skills throughout the 7A–7P shift
