Position Overview: Carilion Clinic is seeking a highly qualified
Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician to join our dedicated and
compassionate Maternal Fetal Medicine Division in Roanoke, Virginia
. This academic role exists within Carilion’s well-established
Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is affiliated with
the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Our dynamic and
collaborative environment is ideal for someone passionate about
clinical excellence, teaching, and research. You will work closely
with students and residents, helping to shape the next generation
of physicians. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized maternal
and fetal care for high-risk pregnancies in both inpatient and
outpatient settings. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team,
including OBGYNs, neonatologists, and other specialists, to ensure
comprehensive care. Participate in the teaching and mentorship of
OBGYN residents and medical students. Engage in clinical research
opportunities to advance the field of maternal-fetal medicine.
Perform and interpret advanced fetal imaging, including ultrasound
and invasive fetal diagnostic procedures. Contribute to continuous
quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Qualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine .
Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Maternal Fetal
Medicine. Strong interest in academic medicine, including teaching
and research. Eligibility for medical licensure in the Commonwealth
of Virginia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Why
