experience in general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, podiatry,
pediatric dentistry, burn, ENT, pain, and vascular cases
Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse for our Operating
Room. The facility has 5 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms
currently in use. There are additional procedure rooms that are not
currently staffed. On average, we serve 23 patients per day.
Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the
operating room specialty. First-time travelers are not preferred
for this position. The patient types and common diagnoses include
general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, podiatry, pediatric
dentistry, burn, ENT, pain, and vascular. The required
certifications include BLS. The department supports nursing staff
and provides necessary resources. The Electronic Medical Record
system used is EPIC. Department-specific surgical equipment is
utilized. There is no floating required outside of the department.
The scheduling operations run Monday through Friday from 0630 to
1700. Call is required every 8th to 10th weekend and 1 night during
the week. Traveling nurses can expect to work 75% of holidays.
Requests for time off require manager approval. Scrubs are provided
in green. Candidates should adhere to established protocols and
