Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a 3x12-hour night shift schedule (19:00 - 07:30) - Administer chemotherapy and other treatments following established protocols - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient-centered care plans - Monitor patient progress and respond promptly to changes in condition - Educate patients and families about treatments, care plans, and health maintenance Qualifications and Desired Experience - Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or Compact license in hand - Minimum of 1 year nursing experience, preferably within oncology or medical-surgical settings - Required certifications: BLS, PALS, Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC), and APHON - Ability to work every other weekend and participate in bi-weekly orientations - First-time oncology nursing candidates are encouraged to apply Additional Details - Flu vaccination is mandatory without exemptions or declinations - Candidates local to Cary or within a 75-mile radius are preferred This contract position provides exposure to a specialized patient population, emphasizing professional growth in oncology nursing.
