The Duke Department of Head and Neck Surgery & Communication Sciences invites applications for a board certified/board eligible Community Otolaryngologist . This position would enjoy both the autonomy and independence of a community practice while remaining part of the team at a top university health system. This role includes all the benefits and support of a world-class academic environment including opportunities for teaching, research, and access to a comprehensive network of otolaryngology subspecialists and multi-disciplinary programs. Eligible candidates must hold an MD degree and be board-certified or board-eligible by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. While a member of the Clinical Faculty at Duke, the selected candidate will be based at Duke Health Mebane with the opportunity to establish a new practice location. Duke Health Mebane is home to primary care and several specialty care clinics with plans for further expansion including an ambulatory surgery center. This is a unique opportunity to help build and grow a new practice location for the Department, develop one’s own unique practice, and collaborate with both primary care and specialty providers in extending Duke’s highest level of patient care to a wonderful neighboring community. Nestled in the hills of the North Carolina Piedmont, Mebane is located between the Research Triangle Park and Burlington, NC – just 15 to 20 minutes West of the greater Triangle area with easy access to two international airports (RDU & GSO). Mebane enjoys North Carolina’s four seasons, mild weather, and easy weekend trips to the both the mountains and beaches.
