Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A skilled Registered Nurse with Operating Room experience is sought for a contract role in High Point, NC. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a surgical setting, supporting a variety of procedures including general, orthopedic, urology, gynecology, podiatry, pediatric dentistry, burn, ENT, pain management, and vascular cases. Qualifications & Desired Experience: - Current RN license with at least 2 years of operating room specialty experience - Circulator experience in multiple surgical case types as listed - BLS certification required - Familiarity with EPIC electronic medical records preferred - Ability to adhere to established surgical protocols and department culture Responsibilities: - Provide perioperative nursing care as a circulator during surgical procedures - Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety and care quality - Participate in orientation and ongoing departmental education - Maintain compliance with hospital policies, WakeWings protocols, and patient care standards - Support call rotations on weekends and select weekdays as scheduled Schedule/Hours: - Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 5:00 pm, with shift variations between 6:30 am and 3:00 pm or 5:00 pm - Weekend call approximately every 8th to 10th weekend; one weeknight call every five out of ten weeks - Holiday coverage expected for approximately 75% of holidays worked Location Information:High Point, NC, is known for its furniture industry heritage and offers a welcoming community with a blend of urban and suburban living.
