Job Description Job Description This position is an interim position which may lead to a permanent position. POSITION SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to oversee and support all aspects of the Occupational Health and Safety platform and to ensure delivery of a consistent Occupational Care experience at all FastMed locations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Clinical oversight of OHS program including but not limited to measuring identified clinical parameters, benchmark visits per injury, chart review results, outcomes measures, % referrals Coordinate with the Operational/Administrative/Billing/Coding and Sales teams to review and improve the program as necessary. Engage with industry leaders and policy makers at a state and regional level to understand employer needs, trends in delivery of occupational care, and emerging research on how to most effectively deliver care to employees Develop and implement educational content and strategies to improve provider skills and confidence with occupational care. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to develop point of care resources for use by providers in real time. Collaborate with appropriate personnel to develop reporting methods and tracking criteria to determine areas of need and improvement as well as providing evidence of successful delivery of occupational care. Collaborate with the Chief Medical Officer to develop guidelines and expectations for occupational injury care and pre-employment screening; Assist Chief Medical Director with complaint patterns related to occupational care; Develop on-boarding materials to ensure new providers have adequate training and can process typical occupational care encounters from the first day of care; Participate in meetings with the Chief Medical Officer and help ensure that the Chief Medical Directors have the skills and knowledge to effectively oversee the Advanced Practice Providers; Assist sales leadership, when appropriate, to engage large potential occupational contracts; and Provide live support for statewide occupational health patient visits for clinicians and operational leadership Be available for questions regarding OHS patient management for their respective state or region. Serve as the clinical supervisor and subject matter expert for the OHS program. Provide medical services to patients within FastMed medical centers. Supervisory Physician - Act as primary supervisor of Clinic’s mid-level providers that are assigned to Physician, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners. Supervision shall comply with all applicable legal requirements, third party payors’ billing policies, and Practice’s policies, procedures and protocols regarding proper physician supervision and limitations on scope of practice. Participate in executing and periodically reviewing providers’ adherence with their written policies and the services provided to Clinic patients Participate in quality improvement and risk management programs and provider meetings; Be available through direct telecommunication for consultation, assistance with medical emergencies, provide medical orders, patient complaint investigation, or patient referral to outside providers as necessary; Provide any other medical services, administration or oversight which may be necessary to comply with applicable supervisory or other laws, regulations and rules governing urgent care services; and Other duties as outlined in the Supervising Physician job description Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/License (Required): Medical Degree; MD or DO from an accredited medical school. Completion of a residency program in a chosen specialty A current unrestricted North Carolina state issued license to practice medicine. Experience: Previous clinical leadership experience Specific expertise in Occupational Health Services. Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines. Demonstrated management and leadership skills. Ability to multi-task Ability to work collaboratively Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
