Job Description Job Description Title - Nurse Practitioner( NP) Schedule | Monday–Friday | Flexible Start 7–8:30 a.m. | 8-Hour Days Status - Full-time Permanent Location: Galax, VA We’re seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner who thrives on making a difference in patients’ lives. This is a weekday, full-time opportunity providing care in post-acute and skilled nursing settings. You’ll have the flexibility to start your day between 7:00–8:30 a.m. , and after completing rounds, you’ll have the option to finish documentation from home — giving you the autonomy and balance you deserve. This is the perfect role for an NP who wants to enjoy a consistent schedule, meaningful work, and a supportive, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Coordinate, assess, and deliver high-quality patient care Collaborate closely with nursing staff, physicians, and facility leadership Conduct daily patient rounds and contribute to care decisions Write orders, manage documentation, and coordinate diagnostics Maintain accurate EMR notes and billing documentation Provide education and communication to patients, families, and teams Required Skills & Attributes Excellent written and verbal communication skills Compassionate and patient-centered approach Organized, flexible, and self-driven Strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability Effective time management with ability to prioritize and delegate Education & Experience Active Nurse Practitioner License (Required) Current DEA Certification (Required) 1 year of NP experience preferred Prior nursing background in Geriatrics, Internal Medicine, ICU, Emergency, Hospitalist, or General Practice preferred Schedule & Perks Monday–Friday, flexible start between 7–8:30 a.m. 8-hour day shift, option to finish documentation from home Competitive compensation with full benefits Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid Time Off Tuition Reimbursement & Continuing Education Flexible schedule with supportive leadership team
