Vaughn Rd, Burlington, NC 27217 Facility Hours: Monday through
Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm FTE Needed: Part-Time at .6 FTE or 3
days/weekly (24 hours) Job Summary - The primary responsibility of
the Physician is to provide direct primary medical care to all
participants of the program. Responsibilities & Duties - Performs
comprehensive history and physical on new referrals. Conducts
preadmission health assessment for initial acceptance into the
program, including program-identification and care planning.
Performs interval history and physicals on established participants
completed quarterly or as indicated. Evaluates and treats
participants with episodic illnesses. Manages all care of
participants in the nursing home: provides regular visits, performs
telephone contacts with nursing staff, admits nursing home
participants to hospital when necessary. Actively participate in
family conferences. Participates as a member of IDT. Coordination
of 24-hour care delivery. Qualifications - Preferred: Geriatrics
fellowship training preferred. Education/Experience : Graduate from
an accredited school of medicine and at least 2-3 years clinical
experience. One year of experience with the frail or elderly
strongly preferred. Proven clinical leadership Able to get along
with others in a team environment Able to deliver service to
physicians, patients and fellow employees with compassion in a
responsive and courteous manner in accordance with PACE policies
and procedures Must have the ability to effectively handle
difficult and unusual interpersonal situations Only act within the
scope of authority to practice Meet a standardized set of
competencies established by Piedmont Health SeniorCare and approved
by CMS before working independently Type of Employees Supervised :
None, except clinical precepting of nurse practitioner staff.
Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Current license to
practice medicine in NC. Valid NC driver license and reliable
transportation. Immunizations: Be medically cleared for
communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior
to beginning employment. Pay Range: $170,336 - $228,918 (
