Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Roanoke, Virginia,
24014! Job Title: RN - PCU/MS Float Profession: Registered Nurse

Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS Must-Have: - Experience in IV
therapy, phlebotomy, and blood product administration - Skilled in
central line care, trach management, and non-invasive airway
support including nasal cannula, CPAP/BiPAP, and chest tubes -
Proficient in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and
management, and responding to emergencies via Rapid Response/Code
teams - Capable of managing PCA and heparin protocols,
administering IV insulin, and handling endocrine/metabolic
conditions - Background includes telemetry and stepdown-level care
with cardiovascular experience in pre/post cardiac catheterization
settings Description: Position: RN - PCU/MS Float. Must be
comfortable working in all PCU and MS units. Charting experience
with EPIC is required. Staffing needs are re-evaluated every four
hours, so the traveler could float 2-3 times per shift. Weekend
requirement: May be every other weekend or six weekend shifts in a
six-week scheduling block. Holiday requirement: Must work one
holiday per 13-week contract. Accept first-time travelers. Pending
licenses accepted only if the candidate holds a single-state
license from a non-compact state. Travelers are required to work at
least one holiday per 13-week assignment. Compliance documents are
due prior to the start date. Previous charge experience is
preferred. Candidates must have experience with a patient ratio of
5:1 or greater. Experience in telemetry and remote monitoring is
preferred. Specialty skills required include total joint
replacement, care of ventilated patients, and isolation
precautions. The average patient ratio for PCU is 5:1 and for MS is
6:1. Staffing may require floating to different units based on
daily needs. The facility features interdisciplinary support
services, including physical therapy and respiratory services. The
position requires management of various patient care conditions and
collaboration with healthcare teams. The daily census varies,
