We’re currently searching for an Associate Director for Triage and Crisis Services to join our Cook Counseling Center team in Blacksburg, VA to help us in our mission. Heres What You Need to Know About the Role: 1) You’ll be joining the Cook Counseling Center team; a department centered on promoting student learning, development, retention, and holistic wellbeing by providing resources for improving mental health and identifying psychological barriers to academic success. 2) You’ll be reporting to the Director of Cook Counseling Center in a Regular twelve-month, 100% administrative professional appointment. 3) You’ll be responsible for coordinating triage and crisis services for the center striving to maximize efficiency in the provision of crisis services through ongoing planning, data analysis, monitoring, and continuous quality improvement activities. 4) Youll provide administrative supervision of Cook Connect Staff, as well as clinical supervision of unlicensed staff, as needed. 5) Youll establish and administer the policies and protocols guiding the CC’s relationship with a telehealth provider and serve as the primary liaison to this company. 6) You’ll be offered a base compensation package between $92,000 - $98,000, along with a comprehensive benefits package which includes health insurance, paid leave, retirement, tuition assistance, VT discounts, and so much more! The center is accredited by the International Accreditation of Counseling Services (IACS) and has a doctoral internship program accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA). We promote student learning, development, retention, and holistic wellbeing by providing resources for improving mental health and identifying psychological barriers to academic success. The CCC supports these efforts through psycho-educational programming, individual, group, crisis, and psychiatric services. CCC’s commitment to service also includes multidisciplinary training, consultation, advocacy, and research. Required Qualifications • Doctorate or master’s in clinical or counseling psychology, counseling education, or social work. • Licensed as a clinical psychologist, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the Commonwealth of Virginia. • Extensive demonstrated leadership experience. • Ability to manage complex crises and/or clinical situations and to provide related supervision, training, and consultation to a large multidisciplinary staff and faculty. • Strong written and oral communication; effective presenter. • Strong commitment to the highest ethical standards of professional practice, as well as an understanding of and commitment to diversity issues in the delivery and management of clinical services. • Dedication and ability to provide multiculturally sensitive clinical services to diverse populations and members of traditionally underrepresented groups. Preferred Qualifications • Experience working with students in a university setting. • Experience analyzing data and is detail-oriented. • Demonstrated ability to manage the details and timelines required by multiple administrative tasks. • Collaborative in nature, practices good self-care, and possesses the ability to manage a challenging workload while promoting a positive atmosphere and healthy relationships. Overtime Status Exempt: Not eligible for overtime Appointment Type Regular Salary Information $92,000 - $98,000 Work Schedule Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Hours per week 40 Additional Information The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
