Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical $20, 000 sign-on bonus

medical surgical unit On a typical day, 5A has 24 patients with a
1:6 nurse/patient ratio and 1:10 CA/nurse ratio We serve the
general population of hospitalized patients with a variety of
conditions The conditions include illnesses, surgery, testing and
observation patients We take care of patients with comorbidities
like diabetes, hypertension, stroke, renal and psychiatric issues

who excels in this role: - Accurately performs patient assessments
and identifies patient needs - Identifies and initiates appropriate
nursing interventions - Provides care appropriate to condition and
age of the patient - Performs timely and appropriate documentation
relating to medical necessity in the medical record - Responsible
for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for
each patient - Performs timely and accurate QI assessments Why join

Applicants must have a nursing degree from a nursing school
(Bachelor's degree preferred). Additional requirements include: - A
current VA (or Multi-state) RN license - American Heart Association
Basic Life Support - Experience in clinical area preferred EEOC
