Registered Nurse (RN) | Med/Surg / Orthopedic Location: Burlington, NC Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,991 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 4/6/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Orthopedics Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience required, with previous travel experience. License: Current nursing license required. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Must-Have: Charge RN experience required. Must be flexible with scheduling and aware of strict policies regarding tardiness and absences. Previous experience with the charting system required, specifically with Epic. Description: The position involves caring for adult and geriatric orthopedic patients, as well as medical-surgical patients. The unit accommodates various patient populations including those who have undergone total joint replacements, fracture repairs, and kyphoplasties. Telemetry monitoring is also available on the unit. The department has a physical therapy gym, allowing patients sufficient access to therapy while remaining on the unit. Candidates should be prepared to work every other weekend, as well as float to other areas as needed. RNs will be required to work as Charge RN if needed. Successful candidates will also need to pass a mandatory EKG exam as a requirement of compliance. Candidates are expected to maintain high standards of care and effective communication within an interdisciplinary support team. A robust patient care environment is present, and the nursing staff will be involved in various procedures and management of multiple patient diagnoses. Candidates must be able to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating good clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Prior experience with a patient ratio of 5-6 is beneficial. Candidates are encouraged to demonstrate relevant skills in intravenous management and telemetry monitoring, among other nursing responsibilities. This role involves managing patient care needs effectively, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent support throughout the care process.
