Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience required License: RN Licensure Certifications: AHA Approved Certifications (BLS) Must-Have: American Heart Association (AHA) approved certifications Flu vaccine required during flu season Current flu vaccination must be provided Travelers must be greater than 75 miles from facility Permanent address must be provided Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse in the Medical Surgical specialty. The position requires working night shifts for 12 hours. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of nursing experience. Licensure must be current and valid in the required state. Successful applicants will be required to hold American Heart Association approved certifications. A current flu vaccination is mandatory, and declinations are not accepted. Travelers must clock in and out to receive payment. Any missed shifts will require working a make-up shift in the same pay period. Applicants who have been previously employed in this system need to have waited two years before applying as travelers. Documentation such as required licenses and certifications must be submitted with the application. Preference for candidates with charge experience and community hospital experience. Candidates must have experience in telemetry and be familiar with Cerner as a charting system. Additional skills in IV insulin protocols, colostomy care, and wound management are preferred. The daily census averages 24 patients, with a patient ratio of 6 per nurse. This position does not require call or float, with weekend coverage expected.
