Regional Human Resources Coordinator

Job Description:

The Regional Human Resources Coordinator plays a significant role in the overall implementation of human resources policies and procedures across the region. This role requires the ability to effectively manage a high volume of work with competing priorities. Therefore, it is essential that the individual in this role can effectively manage their time and can execute directions with little oversight. The Regional Human Resources Coordinator role requires a solution focused approach. The selected candidate should be collaborative, fit with Support Services of Virginia's culture, and be process driven.

The Regional Human Resources Coordinator will be expected to attract both active and passive candidates. You should be aware of best practices and trends in recruitment, enjoy creating a positive candidate experience, and be comfortable with recruiting new applicants.

The Regional Human Resources Coordinator position reports directly to the Head of Human Resources of Support Services of Virginia and Regional Head of Operations.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Facilitate recruitment and on-boarding staff (schedule interviews, issue on-boarding documents, conduct reference checks, etc.)

Follow up with interested candidates via email, phone, or chat

Review timecards for accuracy and completeness to include verifying/correcting missed punches and overtime

Conduct periodic audits on HRIS data to ensure data integrity and compliance

Responding to various inquiries from supervisors and staff

Develop written processes and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance across region

Data analysis/reporting to include new hire reports, measuring KPI's such as time to fill, turnover, cost per hire, and other relevant data

Provide notary services as needed

Provide direct supervision of Administrative Assistant

Please note:

Compensation for the Regional Human Resources Coordinator is $18.50-20.50 per hour

Schedule is Monday through Friday with flexible hours (40 hours per week required)


Must be vaccinated
Ability to work autonomously with little to no direction
Superior ability to communicate at all levels, both written and verbal
Effective time management skills
Strong negotiation and sales skills
Excellent organizational skills to work independently and manage projects with many moving parts
Strong computer and internet skills; including experience Microsoft Office Programs
High school diploma or GED
A passion and strong understanding of the industry and agency mission
The ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
Creative thinker, with an ability to use both data and intuition to inform decisions
Previous experience in roles such as HR Assistant, Personnel Specialist, HR Technician, Recruiter or similar titles are preferred.
