Job Description Job Description Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety Associate Location: Raleigh, NC (Remote flexibility for CA-barred attorneys) Salary: $200,000-$275,000 Bonus & Full Benefits Direct Counsel is representing an AmLaw 100 firm seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its Labor, Employment & Workplace Safety (LEWS) practice in the firm’s Raleigh office . This is an outstanding opportunity to join a top-tier practice and work on a broad range of high-level employment litigation and advisory matters. Key Responsibilities: Handle complex employment litigation , including: Wage & hour class actions PAGA claims Single-plaintiff discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases Draft and review employment documents such as: Offer letters, employment and separation agreements Handbooks and workplace policies Advise on labor and employment issues in the context of corporate transactions , including mergers and acquisitions Optional: Support traditional labor relations matters (experience a plus, not required) Engage directly with clients and work collaboratively with senior attorneys on case strategy and management Requirements: 3-6 years of relevant employment litigation experience Active North Carolina Bar membership (remote candidates within California or willing to relocate will be considered) Exceptional legal research, writing, and advocacy skills Strong academic credentials from an accredited law school Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and in a team setting Commitment to providing top-tier client service in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Why Apply: Work with a nationally recognized LEWS practice within a prestigious Amlaw 100 firm Receive active mentorship from leaders in the field and take on significant responsibility and client interaction Gain experience across litigation, counseling, and transactional work Highly competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits Supportive and inclusive firm culture that fosters long-term career development
