New Business Development / Account Executive
The Danville Register & Bee seeks an exceptional and highly-motivated New Business Development/Account Executive to work in a fast-paced environment.You'll collaborate with local business owners to determine their needs and goals, and recommend appropriate print and digital advertising solutions.
In this highly-visible role, you'll make a direct impact on our bottom line by driving dynamic revenue-growth opportunities across all our platforms, selling all of our newspaper solutions. The ideal candidate should be highly-motivated with a proven track record of sales success, particularly with new revenue-generating initiatives.
You will be calling on local small to medium size businesses in a local market with the goal of making sure every local decision maker is aware of the variety of sales/marketing solutions that are available through Lee Enterprises. Phone book sales experience (print/digital) is a plus.
Required Skills--- A creative thinker who is able to develop strategic ideas that encompass appropriate recommendations utilizing all newspaper advertising solutions --- Must have displayed a great deal of success as a member of a sales team, and display the ability to consistently achieve sales quotas --- Must possess outstanding presentation skills and be experienced in presenting solutions to decision makers --- Background in digital advertising solutions including Google keywords, SEM, digital targeting a plus--- Must have good written and verbal communication skills--- Ability to think and act independently in order to meet deadlines --- Possesses computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint (and other Microsoft Office software products), math skills and the ability to explain digital products at a generic level.--- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM products a plus--- Must have a valid driver's license and maintain and drive a reliable vehicle, and carry auto insurance. --- High School Diploma required, College Degree preferred
