Job Description:

SOVAH Health - DanvilleResponsible for providing technical support services and performing specific duties and activities for surgical patients of all age groups.Performs multiple departmental assigned tasks that facilitate the transportation of patients, positioning of patients, room readiness and the turnover processes between surgical procedures.Transport patients, equipment, supplies, medications, specimens to the laboratory, x-rays, charts, etc.Assembles equipment, including changing of anesthesia circuits, assists anesthesia care givers as directed.Performs environmental sanitation within the operating room and immediate ancillary units and supporting areas, including turnover between cases, and end of the day terminal cleaning.Cleans and maintains housekeeping equipment; reports deficiencies in equipment, furniture and fixtures, etc.Maintains room supplies (sterile and non-sterile) and furniture at appropriate inventory levels and stocks blanket warmers and linen carts to reduce turnover time between cases.Job Requirements:Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredRequired SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
