--- And much more---Position Summary:Sovah Danville is seeking a full-time Cath Lab Tech to perform a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks before, during and after cardiac catheterization and special procedures. -

• Performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks before, during and after cardiac catheterization and special procedures.
• Primarily responsible for the care of patients undergoing diagnostic cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures.
• Responsible for assisting will all procedures providing patient education, assessment and monitoring, and participating in performance improvement activities.
• Monitors hemodynamics, electrocardiograms, and waveform analysis.
• Participates in Quality Assurance and practices infection control policies.
• Assures appropriate orders are obtained and followed during the performance of all procedures.
• Assists the cardiologist in invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, diagnostic peripheral cases, and peripheral angioplasty.
• Assists physician in ICD insertions; insertion of temporary pacemakers, Swans-Ganz insertions, intra-aortic balloons, and implanting of permanent pacemakers.
• Accepts assignment of call rotation.
• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; verifies patient's identification before performing any procedure.
• Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.
• Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.
• Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.
