Location: Green Rock Correctional Center is a level 3 prison located in Chatham, VA. This position provides services to inmates who have volunteered to complete the Intensive Drug Treatment Program.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch break (late afternoon/early evening hours may be required.)
Pay Rate: $28.846/hr. ($60,000 annually). Candidates with a CSAC, CADC, or equivalent license/certification are eligible for $31.25/hr. ($65,000 annually).
The Counselor is responsible for:
--- Facilitating group programming and meetings, individual counseling sessions, case management services, and clinical documentation.
--- Conducting comprehensive assessments and individual treatment plans within established timeframes.
--- Participating in multi-disciplinary treatment planning, case reviews, and conferences.
--- Working closely with the Virginia Department of Corrections personnel to ensure quality delivery of services and promote a healing environment where people with substance use disorders can learn to live in recovery as returning citizens.
Qualifications:
--- Bachelor's Degree in Human Services field is required.
--- State certification as a Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC) in the state of Virginia or similar certification/license recognized by the Virginia Board of Professional Counselors is required within two (2) years of signing job description.
