Facilities Maintenance Technician Role Summary:
SSVA is currently hiring for a Facilities Maintenance Technician
for the Danville regional office. The ideal candidate is friendly
and positive. Additionally, should be a team player and willing to
address and troubleshoot technical, maintenance-related, logistical
problems, within the Danville region. You will support the SSVA
mission by ensuring all company vehicles are operating according to
legal and regulatory standards, and that the overall safety of SSVA
customers and staff is a priority.
Core Responsibilities:
- Managing & tracking routine vehicle/facility maintenance
needs.
- Tracking significant maintenance requests and prioritizing the
order of completion.
- Performs routine plumbing maintenance
- Coordinating maintenance needs in the most efficient and
cost-effective manner while maintaining safety and an acceptable
level of quality.
- Repairs various fixtures and hardware such as doors, windows,
minor appliances, office equipment, etc.
- Knowledge of 'Tools of the Trade' (including both and hand and
power tools), their proper usage and safety precautions.
- Ability to assimilate information and write reports in a clear,
concise and timely manner.
- Monitor the overall safety of vehicles and immediately notify the
Regional Head of Operations of significant safety concerns (for
customers or staff) and the progress toward addressing the
issue.
- Establish and maintain a safe working environment to include the
proper storage of equipment.
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of SSVA's
mission.
Team Member Benefits:
The starting pay for this position is $13.00-5.00/hr. SSVA offers a

Work Conditions:
Facilities Maintenance Technician works in a changing environment
that adjusts to the needs of SSVA, including individuals receiving
services, operational needs, weather-related circumstances that may
call for extended work hours, including evenings and/or weekends.
The environment may be fast-paced with interruptions, distractions
and deadlines. He or She needs to be flexible and be able to adjust
to changing needs. The Facilities and Fleet Maintenance primarily
works in SSVAs Office of Infrastructure and Fleet Maintenance, but
may include trips off-site such as to any SSVA service sites as
well as commercial centers for procurement purposes.

plumbing, carpentry, painting, plastering, machine servicing,
electrical and vehicle maintenance.

---General knowledge of how to maintain and operate basic and
routine vehicle/facility maintenance checks. A general knowledge of
mechanical tools, how to use them and their safety precautions.
---Strong Computer ability to maintain records and communication
documentation

timing and scheduling
---Team focused collaboration skill to work with all levels within
the company organization
---The ability to continually monitor the current status of company
vehicles/facilities, identify concerns and determine feasible
solutions to ensure quality and safety.
---Ability to work in all levels of climate, indoor and outdoor to
accomplish tasks, and routine work.
---Valid Driver's License
---Excellent driving record, and ability pass criminal background
check requirement
