Job DescriptionMaterial Handler Our client has been an industry leader in the Danville, VA area for over 9 years. Due to service expansion, we are currently searching for motivated self-starters to fill their open positions on both 1st shift and 2nd shifts and would like to hear from you! Do you enjoy having your summer free?! This is a contract position that lasts around 8 months, and allows you the freedom to have the summer to yourself!We offer a magnificent work schedule (typically Monday – Thursday with some Friday's), weekly pay, attendance bonus's, referral bonuses and benefits! We have a limited to no contact on-boarding process to make finding work easy! Duties include:

• Removes stems, off color tobacco, and foreign material, such as strings, dirt, and paper from tobacco as it moves along conveyor to ensure clean and uniform product.
• Lifts objects by hand and cleans work area, machines, and equipment, using broom and rags to assist machine operators / supervisor.
• Shovels loose materials, such as sand, gravel, metals, plastics, or tobacco, into machine hoppers or containers.
• May drop pickings into buckets attached to conveyor frame or into a bucket on the floor, according to whether pickings are dark tobacco, green tobacco, tobacco with stems, or foreign material
• Build boxes manually by hand, pull or remove wires from tobacco bails Requirements include:
• Previous tobacco experience a plus but not required.
• Ability to perform repetitive motions and lift 25 pounds.
• Teamwork, Coordination, Dependability.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check. Benefits:
