City of Danville Transportation Job Fair No CDL Required A Job Fair will be held at the Danville, Virginia Employment Commission Office, 211 Nor-Dan Drive to interview applicants for driving positions with the Danville Transit System on Tuesday, February 19, 2019 from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm. Applicants who are interested in scheduling an interview must contact the Virginia Employment Commission at (434) 549-8220. Job duties include the following; operates transit vehicles to provide transportation service for passengers; Follows fixed routes or a trip schedule for reservation based door to door service; Receives fares and maintains passenger trip data; Follows operating rules and regulations; Ability to operate a 14 passenger bus that does not a require a Commercial Driver's License or ability to operate a 28 passenger bus that requires a Commercial Driver's License and P endorsement; Ability to read and write and understand warning labels and symbols; Education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school; Must provide a DMV driving record; Starting Pay $10.75 - $12.50/Hour. Flexible hours available; Prior part time experience not required. Position open until filled.
