Description: Manage the short and long-term operations associated
with the Stock Value Stream to provide the highest quality products
possible in a timely manner. Ensure the continued development of
Stock Value Stream staff through experience, training
opportunities, exposure to all aspects of the business, and
mentorship. Ensure the continual improvement of processes and
provide assurance that products meet specifications and quality
requirements. Ensure that production instruments are operating to
specifications and that new instruments are validated in a timely
manner. Responsible for overseeing the assignment of certified
values, and the release of manufactured lots. Collaborate with
various teams on special projects and the sharing of company
resources. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety and
hazardous materials requirements. The Stock Value Stream Manager
has the authority to perform all tasks and duties assigned herein.
The Incumbent has the authority to: Start/stop production Make
personnel decisions Responsible for approval or denial of the
release of products due to quality/stability concerns Commit
resources to ensure timely release of products for
sale/distribution Develop, modify, verify, and validate methods and
procedures Create and/or change policies in areas of responsibility
to promote an effective and efficient workflow Stop Work: This
authority permits any employee at any level to halt a job or task
when a hazardous situation appears imminent, or they feel unsafe
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide leadership to the
Stock Value Stream through the development and evaluation of staff,
processes/procedures and workflow for increased effectiveness and
efficiency. Allocate staff resources and oversee departmental
operations to fulfill market demand according to relevant strategic
initiatives and the evolving needs of the company and its partners.
Perform regularly scheduled 1-on-1 meetings with direct reports for
continual evaluation and development. Write, or assist in writing,
performance reviews for all Stock Value Stream staff to promote
development of employees’ skills, knowledge, talent and
professional behavior. Work collaboratively with fellow Managers
and Leadership to make decisions and develop policy that give the
company the best opportunity for success while minimizing risk.
Assist Quality and Regulatory Management (QRM) with meeting
established quality objectives and ensuring strict adherence to all
appropriate governing bodies and guidelines, both internal and
external. Attend and participate in required meetings to promote
positive business outcomes along with efficient, effective
communication. Use knowledge and experience to provide technical
assistance to staff and c Evaluate necessary equipment and
instrumentation for future purchases. Partner with leadership team
to align departmental efforts with company vision, objectives, and
strategies. Develop and monitor dashboards, KPIs, and metrics to
track trends and take proactive action on department workflow.
Advise leadership regarding resources needed for the department
including materials, staffing, etc. Monitor applicable department
budgets and approve mid-level purchase requests. Other duties as

Required - Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a field of study
related to manufacturing operations Demonstrated supervisory
experience with the ability to lead and direct the work of others
in a positive manner A decisive individual who possesses a "big
picture" perspective A minimum of five years previous job-related
experience in manufacturing, technical or supervisory work.
Possesses a strong forward-thinking operational focus that supports
the department and the business overall Working knowledge of
generally accepted supervisory practices and principles A
well-organized and self-directed individual who uses good judgment
with high ethical standards Excellent communication skills in both
verbal and technical writing. Ability to work accurately in a
fast-paced environment with multiple interruptions Demonstrated
history of working well both independently and in a team
environment Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to identify, track, and monitor KPIs and other metrics to
track progress and overall health of the department and the company
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills Keen attention
to detail Ability to flex projects and priorities as the company
grows Demonstrates sound technical skills, analytical ability, and
creative problem solving PC proficiency with a working knowledge of
Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and Access Preferred -
Master's degree in Chemistry Previous experience in project
management Working knowledge of the periodic table and lab safety
guidelines and procedures Working knowledge of ICP-OES, ICP-MS, IC,
AA, balance calibration, wet assay methods, and glassware
calibration Knowledge of analytical chemistry and laboratory
concepts and techniques Prior experience working with hazardous
materials Working knowledge of ISO 17034 and ISO 17025 Administer a
