Job Description:
Position Summary The Research Technician in the Aleman Lab will
perform scientific experiments including, but not limited to,
animal models, tissue processing, genotyping, blood clotting
assays, microscopy, histology, immunoassays, cell culture,
lentiviral transduction, DNA and RNA isolation, and other molecular
biology approaches. The Research Technician will maintain a
laboratory notebook of experiments and other laboratory records. In
addition, the Research Technician will perform basic laboratory
maintenance including media and reagent preparation, placing supply
orders, autoclaving, dish washing, and general lab cleanliness. The
Research Technician will be expected to participate in and present
their research at recurring laboratory meetings.
