More about our team Provide education to patients, and families on the disease process, treatment, diagnostic testing and patient responsibilities involving treatment. Perform initial assessment and reassessments with appropriate documentation. Notify MD of any abnormal findings. Obtain laboratory samples per policy. (Example: wound cultures). Assess wounds and apply ordered dressings per policy. (Example: Una Boots, Combiderm, Aquacel, etc). Document all treatments on appropriate forms/computer. Coordinate patient schedule to provide optimal care in a productive timeframe. Promotes a positive image throughout the organization and community by providing cooperative and courteous service to all customers, patients, families, visitors, physicians and associates. Interpret lab data and notify MD, pharmacy or other departments for any needed changes in treatment modality Complete department charges, supply charges and revisit data accurately and promptly to ensure compliance. Participates in quality improvement activities. Coordinate and assist with in-patient wound care as needed. What we are looking for Applicants should have a current VA RN license Bachelors preferred but not required Two (2) years recent experience with Medical/Surgical.
