Hours per Shift: 8 hours (Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM)
Experience: No prior experience required License: ARRT Certified in
Radiography Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare
Provider certification Must-Have: Accredited Associate's Degree or
completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
Description: Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of all aspects of
General Diagnostic Radiology. Adheres to departmental protocols and
policies. Obtains RT(R) credentials and maintains active status.
Utilizes technical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot work unit
problems related to equipment and protocols. Enthusiastically
shares knowledge with employees and students in the work unit.
Ensures that patient demographic information and examination
requests are correct. Critiques, orients, and saves all pertinent
images, transmitting quality-assured images to the appropriate
system. Documents completion or cancellation of all procedures,
including comments when appropriate. Maintains image management
equipment and reports any equipment problems to the appropriate
resources. Utilizes various systems for obtaining additional study
data and managing patient information. Performs work in a timely
manner, consistently producing quality radiographic images.
Analyzes requests and draws appropriate conclusions for
examinations and action plans. Reviews radiographic orders and
images, ensuring the accuracy of patient demographic information.
Reviews the daily schedule and/or status of patients waiting for
examinations. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Documents incidents and advises supervisors of improvement
opportunities for the work unit. Verifies patient identity and
obtains relevant patient history related to examination orders.
Assesses pregnancy status before administering ionizing radiation.
Evaluates patients' physical conditions and develops action plans
for examinations. Determines if additional medical personnel or
equipment is needed and takes appropriate actions. Assists patients
requiring extra attention and reacts to emergency situations to
ensure patient safety. Requirements Required for Onboarding ACLS
